Biography :
KOOLEY JONES, born Taalib Schakor Harrell has been around music his entire life. Coming from a family full of singers, drummers & guitarist, it was quite obvious music was his calling.
Writing and composing music came naturally to KOOLEY. Through out his middle school and high school years, he would battle other rappers during lunch period and leave his peers in awe. Later garnering the label “that dude you do not want to battle against.”
But KOOLEY hadn’t always seen music as a career being that he was so involved in football during his younger years. All that changed in the year 2007 when him and his younger brother, REE (now incarcerated), founded a rap group which they called Jump Squad (J.S.E. or Jump Squad Entertainment). KOOLEY would go on strictly producing several local hits for his brother but he still had an urge to rock the mic.
In 2011, KOOLEY had dreams and aspirations of taking his music to new heights. Once again, he linked up with close friend and lifetime collaborator, Ivy League. Together, they formed No Grav Gang (often spelt in this manner, NoGRaVGaNG). No Grav Gang (NGG or N2G) has its own management/promotion team as well. http://NoGRaV.com/
